At IES we are eager to educate our students. Our mission is:

through student, staff, and community teamwork.
Our school serves fifth and sixth grades with six classroom teachers, 1.5 special education teachers, as well as English Language Learner (ELL) and Title I support teachers. Educational assistants provide additional support.
Our educational programs include instruction in Language Arts (reading, writing, and spelling), mathematics, science, social studies, health, band/choir and technology.We offer programs and activities for students who are identified as eligible for special education services, talented and gifted, and ELL.Our after-school program is held on Tuesday and Wednesday each week to provide students additional support in reading and math.
Our active student council is involved in the development of positive team building activities for all students.They conduct monthly student recognition assemblies and determine student rewards for academic growth and excellence.
Parents are always welcome at Irrigon Elementary School.They are encouraged to meet with teachers frequently.All teachers are generally available to talk with parents daily from 7:00 am to 7:25 am and 3:00pm to 3:30 pm.Other times can be arranged by appointment.Parents may also communicate via e-mail or phone @ (541)922-2421.
